Equipment & design

Every Volkswagen is characterised by high-quality equipment and clear design vocabulary. Numerous individualisation options also allow you to create your very own personal Volkswagen Golf GTI. You will be amazed how much choice you have.

Discover an elegant racing atmosphere.

Pole position when it comes to atmosphere: even as you open the driver’s door, you will be wowed by the sill panel trim, illuminated in red. As soon as you sit into the height-adjustable sports seats, which are equipped with seat-back pockets and Clark chequered seat covers, you will feel pure performance at your fingertips in the form of the flat-bottomed multifunction sports steering wheel in leather, with GTI inlay and gear knob in the classic golfball design. As an option, you can get top sports seats in Vienna leather trim or in Honeycomb fabric combined with breathable ArtVelours microfleece.

Experience the appearance of a legend.

Naturally, the design of the new Golf GTI is inspired by the world of motorsports. The front, with its even slimmer headlights, the typical honeycomb structure of the radiator grille and the gleaming black air intake vents identify it as a worthy successor to the original GTI. The classic red trim strip extends from the radiator grille, with its GTI lettering, to above the compact headlights, emphasising the dynamic overall impression. This impression is further strengthened by the powerful-looking bumpers – a feature unique to the GTI.

The sporty side profile is achieved through the broader side sills, which make the already lower Golf GTI appear to sit even closer to the tarmac, as well as through the GTI lettering and logo on the two front wings.

The rear also draws the eye, with its grained matte black diffuser and chrome exhaust pipes on the right and left, as well as the rear spoiler in the same colour as the body.
