R8 LMS race car demonstrated for the very first time in Dubai

Dubai, October 29th, 2016 – Al Nabooda Automobiles, the official representative of Audi in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, hosted an exclusive event for an invited group of ladies to launch the Audi Sport brand in the UAE. Guests of “The Ultimate Audi Sport Experience” the Audi Sport at Dubai Autodrome had the pleasure of taking the new Audi R8 and Audi TT around the track. As a special highlight, the ladies were given a demonstration of the Audi R8 LMS race car, which had been flown in to Dubai especially for the occasion.
This premium driving experience was part of the launch of Audi’s new brand called Audi Sport that encompasses only the high performance Audi RS models and the all-new R8. Audi Sport specializes in the requirements of high-performance car lovers who appreciate innovation, perfection and exclusivity.
Invitees to the experience were a key group of influencers in traditional media and social media who also share an interest in motorsports. They represent an important growing demographic in the UAE and Middle East of ladies who are high achievers in their profession and value the perfect balance between performance and design and technical progressiveness provided by Audi Sport.

By the middle of next year, the complete Audi Sport range will be available in the Middle East and will include: the Audi R8, the R8 Spyder, RS 6 performance, RS 7 performance, RS 6 Avant, RS 7, the RS Q3 performance, the RS 3 and TT RS.
The new Audi R8 is a pure race car as it shares 50% of its components with the race winning GT3 car. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in an incredible 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 330 km/h. The R8 responds instantly to throttle inputs, putting to good use the naturally aspirated V10 mid-engine with up to 610 hp of power. It is truly the vanguard of Audi – no other car with the four rings is so close to car racing.
