Dubai, April 20, 2013 – Karim Al Iraqi, famous poet, singer and songwriter was welcomed by management at Al Nabooda Automobiles, the official dealer of Audi in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, to an exclusive poetry evening attended by invited guests and VIPs at the Audi terminal on Sheikh Zayed Road. Renowned for his work in the musical sphere, Karim Al Iraqi has collaborated for many years with famous singer Kazem Saher and together they have produced more than 70 songs including “Nass Was Nass”, “Maalem Ala Sadamat Albi” and “Tadhakar”. Karim has also written songs for stars including Assala Nasri, Diana Haddad and Samira Said. Theatre director, author and UAE media personality Jamal Matar was also present at the event and provided guests with a brief insight into the literary world in the Middle East.
The highlight of the evening was a reading of Karim’s latest poem accompanied by Oud player Abdelnoor.
