Charity Art Initiative Driven By Al Nabooda Automobiles

Authorised dealer of Porsche, Audi, Volkswagen in Dubai and Northern Emirates sponsors ARTEX

Dubai, UAE, 19-20 September, 2014: A local art exhibition organised to raise funds for children with special needs has been given a new drive of support from Al Nabooda Automobiles.

ARTEX is a charity initiative founded by 16 year old Keenan D’Abreo who has worked with his teenage friends living in the UAE to create a range of paintings and artwork to sell to the general public, with all proceeds donated to different children’s charities.

The sole distributor for Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Al Nabooda Automobiles is putting its efforts behind the latest exhibition which runs on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 September 2014 at Times Square Center, Dubai.

Prices range from AED50 to AED700, with all proceeds going to this year’s chosen charity “Senses Residential and Day Care for Special Needs” in Dubai.

“I organised two events in 2013 and was able to donate more than AED20,000 to support children with special needs throughout the UAE, so my aim this year is to surpass that figure and help even more children who have learning difficulties,” said Keenan, who was the youngest person to ever feature in the Ahlan Hot 100 list in 2014.

“Receiving support from a local organisation such as Al Nabooda Automobiles is a fantastic step forward in making the exhibition the biggest and best yet.”

Mr K. Rajaram, CEO of Al Nabooda Automobiles added, “The work that Keenan puts into these charitable events is inspiring, especially from someone so young and we’re honoured to be supporting such a worthy cause.

“The work that has been produced by UAE teenagers is very impressive and we’re looking forward to raising funds to help children in need in our community.

“The money donated to “Senses” will help them to provide round the clock care to children with special needs and their families. The centre focuses attention on the therapeutic value of art, as well as games and outdoor activities, which are effective ways of working with children who experience difficulties in their development.

“We encourage everyone to visit the exhibition over the two days and give generously to such an important fundraising initiative.”

The showcase of paintings will be on display on the first floor of Times Square Center, from 10:00am to 9:00pm, 19-20 September 2014, with prices starting at AED50.
