Porsche Dubai, understands the importance of maintaining prestigious values whilst also looking to the future. Currently celebrating 50 years of the iconic Porsche 911, Porsche Centre Dubai backed by Al Nabooda Automobiles has embarked on several CSR initiatives and partnerships that demonstrate its commitment to social and cultural development. To keep alive an appreciation of classical performing arts among the young, students of Dubai Modern School were invited to a concert of maestro Amjad Ali Khan with his sons Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan. Held on May 28th, 2013, here are a few highlights of the initiative:
- Amjad Ali Khan, regarded as one of India’s greatest musicians with a career spanning 50 years, enthralled over 400 classical music enthusiasts at the Madinat Theatre, where he was joined by his sons, Ayaan Ali Khan and Amaan Ali Khan.
- Taught by his father, the legendary Haafiz Ali Khan, Amjad Ali Khan is the sixth in an uninterrupted lineage of music masters known as the SeniaBangash School.
- As part of its outreach programme to promote arts and culture in the Dubai community, Porsche Centre Dubai treated 650 students of Dubai Modern High School to a special Master class by Ayaan and Amaan Ali Khan the following day.
- This was the second concert presented by Porsche Centre Dubai,as part of the 50 years of 911 celebrations.
