Audi has a long history of supporting artistic and creative achievements worldwide. It is thrilling to be able to encourage artists and promote their talent to Al Nabooda Automobiles Audi customers and the wider community. This time, we ventured forth to showcase Mattar bin Lahej’s stainless steel sculpture project.
- Audi Dubai is supporting self-taught Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej in his new exhibition of work at the Armani Café Atrium at Dubai Mall.
- ‘Spread of Language’ is on display from 9 July until 15 August 2013 at the Dubai Mall. The stainless steel sculpture is an artwork that consists of many writings such as the Holy Quran and 13 verses from the old poets. Approximately 430 letters seem to flow out of the piece of art.
- Mattar Bin Lahej was born and raised in Dubai. He is an active painter, sculptor and photographer who has been recognised in recent years through his participation in localand international exhibitions, such as Abu Dhabi Art, the Berlin Art Fair in Germany, aswellas in Morocco and Kuwait.
