Official Audi distributor sponsors Watani Al Emarat Humanitarian Work Award
Dubai, July 8, 2015 – Al Nabooda Automobiles, the official Audi distributor in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, lent its support to the third Watani Al Emarat Humanitarian Work Award which coincided with Zayed Humanitarian Day on Ramadan 19 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.
The Award ceremony took place on 01 July, at Intercontinental Hotel in Festival City. It recognizes ten humanitarians across various fields every year, and awards one recipient with “The Golden Humanitarian Personality”.
Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah was awarded with “The Golden Humanitarian Personality” in recognition for her services to both the local and international communities.
The Watani Al Emarat Foundation was launched on the 2nd of Dec 2005 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
In line with its initiatives to build an appreciation system for personalities in the UAE community, the Watani Programme launched the Humanitarian Work Award in 2013, to honor Emiratis who reflect Emirati national identity and values.
Ali Al Nabooda, General Manager, Audi, Al Nabooda Automobiles, said: “We are thrilled to support such an inspirational awards ceremony which has helped the community through the promotion of positive action.”
“The Watani Al Emarat Humanitarian Work Award has become an increasingly significant event, promoting good ethics and noble values that revolve around humanitarian that is derived from the Islamic Religion and encourages more people to offer their time and services to humanitarianism causes in the local community.

Dherar Belhoul Al Falasi, General Manager of Watani Al Emarat Foundation, elaborates on this, saying: “We believe that the human is the key acid of development in all nations , and the most important element in building communities, and this is what our wise leaders have always encouraged us to keep our focus on. From this concept, we strongly believe that such initiatives and events could play a major role in motivating not only individuals but entities as well towards helping each others on both national and International levels.”
As the official car for the Awards, Al Nabooda Automobiles provided a fleet of Audi vehicles for VIPs and dignitaries.
